I really like the Daedric weapons and armor in Morrowind, and this is the smallest one so I took a go at making it. I printed off this screenshot and cut out some Sintra.
Claying up the block mold. You can see where I've made vent tracks and sprue lines for all the pointy bits - this was intended to be a solid pour, so I had to make sure air had a way to escape.
Pouring the block mold. The retaining walls are literally just a cereal box held together with Gorrilla packing tape.
Block mold sucess! Everything released cleanly and all the details are there.
First pour! I shoved a 3/16" graphite rod down the hilt to keep the blade from snapping, which has worked so far, and poured in Smooth-Cast Onyx.
